Richmond Mayor Stoney’s Sanctuary City Directive Makes Richmond LESS Safe

Editor’s Note: The Mayor has not declared a sanctuary, but this is a political statement and the crafting of an “open arms” or “welcoming community” to illegal aliens and an afront to the law abiding citizens of Richmond and the state of Virginia

Mayor Stoney’s directive commanding  the Richmond Police Department not to consent to participate with the Immigration Customs Enforcement 278(g) agreements, places the public at risk, as stated by the National Sheriffs Association.  They released  a position paper supporting the expansion of 287(g), stating:

“It is critical that local law enforcement maintain and build upon the partnerships with federal law enforcement to ensure that collectively we can promote, protect, and preserve the public safety and homeland security

Know this. Any government program that the liberal Left fight tooth and nail to keep around is not about the good of the American Citizen, but instead about keeping and grasping more power and control.

Such is the case with the fashionable trend found among liberal mayors from Cincinnati, Ohio, Providence, Rhode Island, Boston, Massachusetts, Seattle, Washington, Charlottesville, and now Richmond, Virginia.

Richmond, Virginia’s Mayor Levar Stoney offered a Mayoral Directive contains 3 points about why his city would be a great Sanctuary City. The first being, Continue reading

UTT Throwback Thursday: Virginia – From Jefferson to Jihad Loving

Civilization Jihad: Virginia politicians and law enforcement are smoozing with the enemy, the Muslim Brotherhood/Hamas, and Virginia citizens need to know

John Guandolo | Understanding the Threat

The home of Thomas Jefferson is under assault again – this time it is by Virginia’s leaders who are more concerned with being liked by America’s enemies than with doing their duty in their official capacities, and Muslim leaders who lie about their true intentions.

From the Fairfax County Police Chief Edwin Roessler – who feels it necessary to assuage the feelings of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Muslim American Society (see screen capture below) – to Congresswoman Barbara Comstock, Virginia Republican Chairman John Whitbeck, Virginia Delegate Sam Rasoul and others speaking at Muslim Brotherhood (MB) venues like the ADAMS Center, to Virginia Delegate John Bell falling over himself to praise senior Hamas/MB leader Imam Mohamed Magid, Virginia’s leaders are proving to be useful tools for our enemies. By Harboring Criminal Aliens, Sanctuary City Mayors Risk Billions of Funding Dollars

Editor’s Note: Richmond City Mayor Stoner is  shooting craps with money that should rightfully go to their constituents to help them live better, safer lives. Not only are the mayors violating federal law, they’re cravenly abandoning the voters who elected them.

Through their defiance, mayors who govern the nation’s sanctuary cities are gambling on a long shot dice roll. At stake, according to American Transparency (OpenTheBooks.com), is nearly $27 billion in federal funds. America has more than 300 jurisdictions that have proclaimed sanctuary status. Among those 300-plus are 106 cities with the balance made up of states and counties.

President Donald Trump has ordered federal monies withheld unless those cities cooperate with immigration officials. Funding from the government to municipalities goes via Department of Justice grants to local law enforcement and through direct payments to assist with housing, education and community development.

Logically, major cities like Washington, D.C. and Chicago have the most to lose. Illogically, their mayors are among the most vocal in their sanctuary support. On a per capita basis, Washington, D.C. received the highest amount of federal funding: $12,912 per family of four for a $2.09 billion total. Chicago received the second highest per capita federal funding: $7,768 per family of four, or $5.3 billion total. Continue reading

Refugee Resettlement Fraud: Refugee Vetting and The Trump EO

Jim Simpson | Daily Caller

The Left, in collusion with the taxpayer-funded refugee resettlement industry, has pulled out all the stops to oppose President Trump’s executive order on refugees.

They have promulgated so much misinformation on this subject that it defies description. We have almost universal misreporting by the media, disappointingly including supposedly “conservative” media like the Washington Examiner, which should know better. Relying on emotion rather than facts, the media have joined the dull roar of protest to bewail the treatment of Syrian refugees, and imply those who support Trump are “bigots”, “racists” and “Islamophobes”. Some sane counterpoint is in order.

First, on screening, a Monday DC examiner article (Here’s what refugees go through to resettle in the US, by Karen Jacobsen), claims refugees face 18 — 24 months of ” multiple security screenings and intensive background checks”.

Not really. Continue reading

How Trump Can Help Persecuted Christians and Protect Americans with One Move

Raymond Ibrahim

During a recent interview on CBN, President Trump was asked if he thinks America should prioritize persecuted Christians as refugees.  He responded:

Yes.  Yes, they’ve been horribly treated.  If you were a Christian in Syria it was impossible, or at least very, very tough, to get into the United States.  If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible and the reason that was so unfair — everybody was persecuted, in all fairness — but they were chopping off the heads of everybody but more so the Christians. And I thought it was very, very unfair. So we are going to help them.

Trumps response is far different from that given by Barrack Hussein Obama back in November 2015.  Then, as president, he described the idea of giving preference to Christian refugees as “shameful”: “That’s not American. That’s not who we are. We don’t have religious tests to our compassion,” he had added. Continue reading
